Every man, woman and child should own a retractable hose. No more winding things up like a snake like I did with my dad for the last 40 years. It's clean, efficient and quick to use. No more dirty hands. My only gripe is it took me this long to finally buy one. Absolutely love this product, and the best part is it didn't leak..which is a huge plus these days, where I feel like everything I buy involving water leaks.I bought this new. When I received it, it was not in a packaged but thrown in a cardboard box and shipped. The casing was all scratched up and had black smudges all over it. (see picture one) The hose looked new. I assume this was a refurbished product because the case has so much ware on it, it could not have been new. It was sold as a new product. I have only used it a few times so far. It does retract well. The water pressure is about medium and could be better. The hose is small so I guess that is why. It comes with a plastic wall hanger. I knew that would not last so I bought a heavy duty galvanized pipe, 4 ft long and drove it 18 inches into the ground. Very sturdy. The post on the unit slipped right down into it. It does also pivot well. Hopefully it holds up. Will see. Four stars due to receiving a refurbished product and not new as ordered.After setting it up, I turned on the water and things appeared to be amiss (pic 1). I took the cover off and found a retaining ring laying inside (pic 2). Luckily, I was able to get the ring on and it worked without issue (pic 3). Joy! I didn't need to return it!I also mounted it on a pipe I drove into the ground. An idea I got from another reviewer - thank you!Exactly what I needed and looking for! My dad was happy with this birthday gift!I've had this a few months now and it works great with no leaks. Very easy to use once you get the hang of pulling it out 1 click to rewind. When I get it out next spring and hook it up, if it's still working well I'll buy another. If anything changes I'll update.Nothing I don't like about it so farI love not having to manually rewind the water hose. It’s so nice not having the hose in my driveway to clutter it up and have a possible tripping hazard for my clients. It was easy to install and works like a charm.Have not had long enough to evaluate quality but has all desired features & compact size. Thing better than average with brass fittings.
