I was limited to using an FM Transmitter adapter but the sound quality was so bad I mostly listened to CDs.This adapter is simple to install and provides a direct connection to the factory system. The sound provided by this adapter is now clear with better definition allowing to listening at higher volume without strange background hiss and noise.Phone calls are clear as well, microphone sensitivity is adequate even when driving at highway speeds and road noise is introduced into the cabin - a convertible car can be noisy at speeds.One thing that can be improved is the length of the microphone cable, I did have to purchase an extension cable.This adapter is a must if you want to keep the aesthetics of the factory radio.
